Question Mark in circle.png
My daughter would love to come to a Crafty Angels workshop but can be shy in new environments.  What should I do?
Please don't worry, this is completely understandable. I have lots of mums whose daughters come on their own and their mums say similar things about their daughters being shy or getting anxious etc.

We have thought this through and over the past six years, every single girl who has attended our workshops has immediately settled in very well as:

1. The girls are engaged in an activity from the moment they arrive. This is usually dressing miniature mannequins to make pretty fairytale dresses (whilst we sign all the girls in) or designing their dream room in 3D with a gorgeous selection of beautiful materials
2. Our workshops are so busy, the girls are constantly engaged in an activity, moving from one activity to the next so that time really does fly.
3. You are welcome to stay until your daughter is settled. There is also a large waiting room if you want to wait.
4. We have your number and will call you straight away if needed, but that has never happened in four years that we have been running Crafty Angels workshops.
5. The lovely Crafty Angels team are all local mums to girls too and have experienced similar concerns with our own children, so we will always do our best to make sure your daughter(s) is happy.
6. Please see for yourself by checking out lots of lovely comments on our Facebook page from mums on how their daughters found their very first Crafty Angels workshop.

I hope this will offer you reassurance but please remember we are more that happy to have a chat on the phone if you want to go through anything prior to the workshop.
What is the difference between the morning and afternoon workshops?

The morning workshops are aimed at girls approximately 4 to 7 years and usually have crafts based around a magical theme such as Fairies, Unicorns or Mermaids.  The crafts are intermixed with action songs, treasure hunts and fun games around the theme of the workshops.

The afternoon workshops are aimed at girls approximately 8 - 11 years and the crafts are usually based around a cool theme such as Llamas or Flamingos.  Alternatively we may be styling up your room or wardrobe. Or we might be designing our own fun colourful stationary. These workshops also may contain mini drawing masterclasses.
Please remember the age boundaries for the workshops are flexible.
What age can my daughter join a Crafty Angels Arts & Crafts Workshops?
If your daughter loves Arts & Crafts and you feel she would enjoy a Crafty Angels Arts & Crafts Workshop, then she is welcome to attend her first workshops when she is in reception at school and is 4 or 5 years old.  The workshops are 2.5 hours long and each activity within the workshop varies but will take between 5 minutes and 30 minutes (average 15 mins).
How do I book?
We highly recommend joining our mailing list so you know about the workshops first as they can sell out very quickly.

We will then include you in our workshop announcements.  Just pop us an email back and we will reserve your daughter a space on the workshop.

We will then email you some further information, payment details and a registration form.  Your daughter's space is confirmed once payment has been made.
Does Crafty Angels offer full days?
Unfortunately we don't offer full days and children do need to be collected at the end of their workshop.  We do have some 7 and 8 year olds who come to the morning workshops and are collected by their parents for lunch and then come back for the afternoon workshops as they love arts & crafts that much!
Do Parents stay at the workshops?
Parents drop their children off at the workshop and collect them at the end.    The girls are kept very busy and move swiftly from one craft activity to a game, to the next craft activity etc and as such the girls always seems very happy and content.

However you are of course welcome to stay until your daughter is settled.  There is also a very large waiting room outside the hall which you are welcome to wait in.  We will also ensure we have all your contact details, so we can contact you immediately if required.
How much are the workshops?

The girls make several beautiful keepable creations in the workshops which are 2.5 hours long and includes all materials, squash and biscuits.  The workshops are £20.00 payable in advance.
My daughters cross the age boundaries for the workshops and I would like them to go together.  Can they?
Lots of siblings and friends come to our workshops who cross the age boundaries.  As such all age guidelines are approximate to allow for this.  Please ask your daughters which workshops they prefer and just let us know which one you would like to book.
